By: Howard Andres

Alone and thinking of what has come
and of what may come to pass-
the hopes of the future,
the fears of tomorrow,
and of what should of have been done in the past.
But what can be done about it now?
Hold no fears and have no regrets,
for their must be a great confidence from within.

Just beyond the slightly ajar door,
the hallway nightlight casts an orange light.
This should be a disturbance to the encompassing black,
which induces the depths of sleep and dreams.
It does not, but rather causes a peaceful calm-
Maybe a light of hope to hinder the surrounding darkness and
Quiet.
